This book is to reinforce the vowels sounds in a fun way taught by the teacher The Symbol _long sound- The symbol u short sound When a short word ends in a consonant, the vowel sound is often short: hot, hit, sit When a short word ends with an e, The first vowel is long and the e is short: cake, bite, bake.

Many of the pages have an optional “Paint Me” feature for children to finger paint the pages and create their own custom version of the book.
